Solutions Engineer
Levellr is at the forefront of transforming the way gaming companies, brands, and music labels manage and monetize communities on Discord. We work with industry giants like Scopely, Krafton, Hutch, Google, NFL, and Universal, helping them engage deeply with their audiences while ensuring data privacy and community safety.
We’re looking for an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our growing team and play a critical role in supporting the sales cycle, integrating client data with Levellr, and providing technical troubleshooting and triage to enable both clients and internal teams. As the technical backbone of our sales and customer success processes, you’ll bridge the gap between our clients’ needs, technical teams, and our product offerings. Your mission? To ensure seamless technical integrations, fast issue resolution, and a top-tier client experience that turns challenges into opportunities.
What You’ll Do
This role is a mix of technical pre-sales (20-30%), customer onboarding and integration (20-30%), and technical support triage (40-50%)
● Support Sales Teams: Drive technical pre-sales conversations by partnering with the sales team to showcase Levellr’s capabilities, demonstrate integrations, and address technical concerns from prospects.
● Integration Design & Architecture: Guide clients through the technical setup of integrations between their internal data and Levellr’s data. Design scalable, secure, and effective data flows that align with client requirements.
● Client Onboarding & Education: Help onboard clients with a technical focus, assisting them in understanding our product capabilities, integration points, and technical setup for maximum value.
● Technical Troubleshooting & Support: Own high-value customer troubleshooting and issue triage. Solve integration issues directly and escalate product bugs to engineering. Manage and prioritize technical support tickets, ensuring timely responses, keeping clients informed, and ensuring that product bugs are addressed quickly.
● Maintain Customer Relationships: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customers feel supported and valued, even in challenging technical situations.
● Cross-Team Collaboration: Act as a bridge between customers and engineering teams. Work closely with our product, engineering, and account management teams to provide seamless technical support, ensuring that clients’ issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
● Escalate Critical Issues: When necessary, escalate more complex issues to the relevant technical teams and act as the liaison to ensure swift resolution.
● Document & Share Knowledge: Contribute to and maintain technical documentation, including integration guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting resources, to streamline client and internal team processes. What We’re Looking For
● Technical problem solver: You have a background in software engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting. You can read and troubleshoot code, APIs, and integrations.
● Pre-sales experience (or willingness to learn): You’re comfortable in technical sales discussions, helping clients understand how Levellr fits into their stack.
● Customer-facing & collaborative: You enjoy working with people, not just code. You can translate technical details for sales teams and non-technical customers.
● Strong debugging & troubleshooting skills: You can quickly diagnose API, integration, or data issues and either resolve them or escalate efficiently.
● Excellent communication skills: You’re confident presenting to clients and internal teams, making complex insights easy to understand.
● Proactive and independent: You thrive in a remote-first, flexible environment where you can take ownership and work autonomously.
Bonus Points For
● Discord Experience: Direct experience with Discord or other community management platforms is highly desirable, especially with a focus on gaming or social data.
● Experience with Data Engineering or ETL Pipelines: Knowledge of building or managing data pipelines, and familiarity with ETL processes, SQL, and data warehouses.
● Technical Certifications: Any relevant technical certifications, especially related to cloud infrastructure, APIs, or data systems.
● Experience in Gaming or Entertainment: Familiarity with the gaming or entertainment industries, especially related to community engagement, is a plus.
Who we are
Levellr is run by two co-founders, Tom (CEO) and Ben (CTO), who have been building communities for the last 15 years at companies big (YouTube, Interpublic Group) and small (MyCujoo). We launched the company in 2021 with a mission to help our customers with the shift to community platforms like Discord and Reddit. We’ve largely bootstrapped so far, recently raising some investment from experienced gaming and media investors like Mitch Lasky, Owen Mahoney, Crush Ventures and Dylan Collins as well as senior executives from Krafton, Riot Games, Amazon, EA and SuperAwesome.
● We work remotely. You’ll see us in calls from London coworking spaces, suburban home offices, and the occasional Airbnb.
● We get stuff done. We have a bias for action and love creating value from nothing but our code and our conversations.
● We thrive in uncertainty. We listen to market feedback and iterate continuously to build products our customers love.
● We value autonomy, independence, transparency, and trust. We always do the right thing for the team and the business, even if it costs us & we give each other radically honest feedback and challenge assumptions.
