VP Sales and Business Development - Gaming

Levellr provides software and community expertise to some of the world’s largest gaming companies (Scopely, Krafton, Hutch), brands and music labels (Universal, Warner) to help them grow, manage and monetize communities on Discord.

As we grow into our core vertical (gaming), we’re hiring a VP of Gaming Sales and Business Development who will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that drives revenue growth, expands market share, and positions the company for long-term success.

Reporting into the CEO, you will bring your deep experience in the gaming industry to help Levellr engage new business opportunities, and crucially, to help us expand across existing enterprise gaming customers.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing startup as we continue our expansion, especially in the US. You’ll be an integral part of working together to develop our product offering, GTM and sales strategy to the gaming industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Gaming Vertical Sales Strategy: Define and execute a growth-oriented sales strategy focused on the video games sector

  • Customer expansion: Lead on revenue targets & work closely with our Head of Customer Sucess to grow existing customers

  • Revenue Ownership: Own top-line revenue targets for the gaming vertical and work closely with the team to exceed goals, creating scalable processes for continued success.

  • Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate new markets and opportunities within gaming, working closely with marketing and product teams to ensure a coordinated go-to-market strategy.

  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership: Work hand-in-hand with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align the sales approach with broader company initiatives.

  • Culture of Growth: Build a growth mindset within the team, encouraging innovation, ownership, and resilience.

Required experience:

  • 5yrs+ experience selling an enterprise solution into the video games vertical (ideally SaaS)

  • An excellent network and knowledge of the gaming industry

  • Experience in closing high-value deals with major clients, particularly in complex sales cycles

  • Preferred: Strong leadership abilities with a passion for mentoring and developing sales talent

  • Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot) and using data to drive decisions

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex situations with stakeholder management both internally and externally

Who we are

Levellr is run by two co-founders, Tom (CEO) and Ben (CTO), who have been building communities for the last 15 years at companies big (YouTube, Interpublic Group) and small (MyCujoo). We launched the company in 2021 with a mission to help our customers with the shift to community platforms like Discord and Reddit. We’ve largely bootstrapped so far, recently raising some investment from experienced gaming and media investors like Mitch Lasky, Owen Mahoney, Crush Ventures and Dylan Collins as well as senior executives from Krafton, Riot Games, Amazon, EA and SuperAwesome.

  • We work remotely. You’ll see us in calls from London coworking spaces, suburban home offices, and the occasional Airbnb.

  • We get stuff done. We have a bias for action and love creating value from nothing but our code and our conversations.

  • We thrive in uncertainty. We listen to market feedback and iterate continuously to build products our customers love.

  • We value autonomy, independence, transparency, and trust. We always do the right thing for the team and the business, even if it costs us & we give each other radically honest feedback and challenge assumptions.
