Levellr is hiring a fully remote full stack engineer to to join our fast-growing startup. You’ll join a team working to craft an incredible product to some of the world’s largest gaming companies, brands and music labels to help them launch, grow, manage and monetize communities on Discord. Much like Hootsuite, Sprinklr & Sprout built businesses to help companies with the shift into social media platforms a decade ago, we’re helping our customers with the shift into community platforms today.

Who are you?

  • You have a proven ability to learn fast, ship fast, and get stuff done as part of a small team

  • You have 5+ years of professional software development experience, including both frontend and backend work

  • You want to work as part of a fully-remote development team, and you’re happy to work in a European timezone

  • You have strong knowledge of TypeScript and/or JavaScript

  • You ship beautiful web apps with frontend frameworks like Svelte, React or Vue

  • You’re not afraid of SQL and getting your hands dirty with relational databases like PostgreSQL

  • You know your way around GitHub and you’re comfortable with Git

  • Ideally you have previous startup/growth-stage experience and previous remote-work experience, or you’re excited to acquire that

  • You are self-motivated and proactive with an independent working style

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Who we are

Levellr is run by two co-founders, Tom (CEO) and Ben (CTO), who have been building communities for the last 15 years at companies big (YouTube, Interpublic Group) and small (MyCujoo). We’ve been working on the business since early 2021 and are backed by Crush Ventures and a portfolio of strategic and valuable angels.

This is not your typical corporate role. Nor is this a funding-fueled hype machine without a real product that fixes real problems. We’re an early-stage startup charting our own course and building a company we would love to work for.

  • We work remotely. You’ll see us in calls from London coworking spaces, suburban home offices, and the occasional Airbnb.

  • We work flexibly. We work around school runs, workouts at the gym, meals with the kids, and the occasional random day off for day trips or long weekends.

  • We get stuff done. We have a bias for action and love creating value from nothing but our code and our conversations.
