Music Community Manager

  • Customer & Community
  • Full-time
  • GB
  • Remote

Levellr is the Enterprise Marketing Solution for Discord, used by some of the world’s largest music labels (Universal, Warner), gaming companies (Scopely, Krafton, Hutch) and brands (Google, NFL) to help them grow, manage and monetize communities on Discord.

We’re looking for a Music Community Manager who knows what it takes to build and grow thriving communities on Discord. Maybe you’ve already worked in community management, or maybe you’ve been running servers in your own time and want to take it further.

In this role you’ll bring communities to life for some of the biggest names in music. You’ll use your Discord expertise and creative thinking to design activations, shape engagement strategies, and deliver reports that demonstrate clear business impact. Helping fans feel closer to the artists they love while giving artist teams a clear view of the value their communities bring.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re driven by the idea that communities can be transformational – for both fans and the artists they love. You know how to design and deliver spaces that spark genuine connection, while also keeping an eye on the bigger picture: how those communities create lasting impact for our clients.

You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution. One day you’re advising a label on how to deepen engagement, the next you’re tweaking server permissions or briefing moderators. You move fluidly between technical detail and creative ideas, and you do it all with precision and care.

You’re confident in front of clients and proactive in keeping projects on track. You thrive in the fast pace of an early-stage startup, where challenges appear quickly and you’re excited to figure them out. You’re collaborative, open with your ideas, and ready to work closely with our account, product and sales teams to make every community a success.

Above all, you’re passionate about the power of music, community and technology, and motivated to help shape the way artists connect with their fans.

The Day-to-Day

You’ll be the bridge between our clients and their communities. Your work will include:

  • Build, manage and optimise Discord communities that bring fans closer to artists.

  • Design and deliver community activations that spark genuine connection and ongoing engagement.

  • Recruit, onboard and manage moderator teams that keep communities safe and welcoming.

  • Implement technical changes and solutions to meet client needs quickly.

  • Write reports that highlight insights, trends and strategic value for clients.

  • Work with our Product team to feedback learnings and help shape Levellr’s product and future strategy.

You Bring

  • 2+ years works experience, with ideally 2 years experience in community management or moderation within Discord

  • Deep Discord expertise—roles, permissions, bots, commands, and shortcuts.

  • Excellent writing skills for guides, reports, and engaging copy.

  • Strong organisational habits and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

  • A proactive, self-starting attitude and hunger to learn fast.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have run your own Discord server or been an active member in several.

  • Have experience with Notion, data analysis, or custom bot builds.

  • Have worked in music, gaming, or creator-led industries.

Who We Are

Levellr is led by co-founders Tom (CEO) and Ben (CTO), with backgrounds in both startups (MyCujoo, Caster Level) and big companies (YouTube, Eleven Sports). Since 2021, we’ve built a product that’s making waves in the music and creator industries, backed by an advisory board with 5 successful exits between them.

We’re not your typical corporate. Nor are we a hype-driven startup without substance. We build products that solve real problems, and we do it quickly.

What we value::

  • We have ownership. We embrace change and take bold risks.

  • We get shit done. We have a bias for action and love creating value from our code and our conversations.

  • We disagree and commit. We give radically honest feedback and challenge assumptions, then get behind the result & move on.

  • We grow in uncertainty. We listen to market feedback and iterate continuously to build products our customers love.

  • We care. We care about our team and our community/(ies).

We are an equal opportunity employer aiming to build a diverse team. We do not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability status. We’re open and inclusive, and it’s important to us that you are too.
